Account holders who seek to convert their account from an Individual to Joint type or vice versa must first initiate a new account application and then request a transfer of assets once that new account has been approved. Once the transfer is completed, the old account will be closed.
Additionally, you can open linked Joint Account. However, linked account will be a totally new account with same login credentials and all the fees will be applicable to new linked account (If applicable).
After your new Joint account is opened, you can request a manual transfer of assets via a ticket in Client Portal. Click the User menu (head and shoulders icon in the top right corner) followed by Secure Message Centre, then select Funds & Banking as the category and Other Deposits and Withdrawals as the topic.
Within the ticket, you should specify the old and the new account numbers and mention "partial manual account transfer" in the subject.
Please note that the manual transfer is not guaranteed to be approved and the process may take several weeks to complete.
